Grants Available to Support Irish – Scottish Gaelic Links
Colmcille offers funding to foster support for the Gaelic language and develop links between Gaelic Scotland and Ireland.
Voluntary and community organizations can apply for funding to run projects which in which the Gaelic language in Ireland and Scotland can draw people together from diverse backgrounds, within and between each country and region.
Projects must:
Focus on language, linking Scottish and Irish Gaelic.
Develop relationships between Scottish and Irish Gaelic-speaking communities.
Applicants from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland may apply, and must contact the development officer in their area to receive application forms and guidance notes.
Individuals and profit making companies may be considered in exceptional circumstances if they can demonstrate advantage to the broader language communities.
The 2011 deadlines are:
03 June 2011.
04 November 2011.
